We’ve been talking about it and holding fundraisers for the past three years, knowing the parking lot would need to be repaved in the near future. We’ve been fortunate to have somewhat mild winters lately, which has helped our timeline.
It has served us well for many years but the time has come for our parking lot repaving project to be completed. After reviewing numerous proposals and consulting with the Diocese of Harrisburg, and keeping in mind the rising material costs that continue to increase across the construction industry, we have contracted with Lyons and Hohl Paving to start this project the week of August 10, 2026.
Total Project cost is $145,000 – $165,000. (Asphalt prices will be adjusted up or down relative to liquid asphalt index at the time the materials are delivered to job site).
Campaign Goal is $50,000 by August 1, 2026.
Funds for the project to be paid:
Campaign – $50,000
Fundraising – $30,000
Facilities Enhancement $65,000 – $85,000 (depending on final cost).
Total $145,000 – $165,000
Project Summary
Mill at a 2″ depth, Repairs, 2% Slope required for proper drainage, Tackcoat and paving fabric, Asphalt, Seal curb & joints, Line painting.
*Sidewalk at handicap entrance will be addressed with ADA compliant ramp.
